NORMS & TESTS
The installation of lightning impacts counters in the down conductors are strongly recommended
in the standard norm UNE 21.186 to allow a proper control and verification of a protection system
after any eventual lightning strike.
The lightning discharges counter CDR-1 has passed all the operation tests in the High Voltage
Laboratory BET (Germany), submitted to current impulses of 5kA, 50 kA and 100 kA of the waveshape 8/20 and 10/350.
